HARDCORE PUNK ROCKERS FROM LONDON BOUND FOR BOTANY BAY
UK punk band Give Up All Hope are about to tour Australia with Sydney’s very own Vae Victis. After a successful European tour they’ve decided to join forces down under.
Formed by ex members of such legendary punk and crust bands like Doom, Health Hazard, Visions of War and Nailbiter, Give Up All Hope have been perfecting this darker heavy sound for years. They play brutal, Scandinavian influenced punk metal, varying from fast and heavy to dark and apocalyptic.
Give Up All Hope kick off the tour in Vae Victis’ home town of Sydney, on 22nd of February at the infamous all ages venue Maggotville Warehouse. Then up to Brisbane to Newcastle’s Station Hotel on the 28th of February and The Basement in Canberra on the 29th February. After playing Melbourne, Adelaide and Tasmania, the finale date of the tour is Sydney the 9th March at the Sandringham Hotel.
It all started in the dark basement of a squatted pub in South London in 2004. After many gigs and festivals, their first EP 'Nowhere to hide from yourself' was released on Never Healed Records. After a few line up changes the band found its stability as a four piece.
In 2007 Give Up All Hope departed for a three week tour of Mexico simultaneously re-releasing the EP on CD. After the success of Mexico the band returned to play everywhere possible in the UK and in June / July 2007 they met up with Vae Victis for a chaos-filled, 21 gig, European tour together. This resulted in both bands recording for a split EP soon to be released.
