Today I received some disturbing news..
"Miika Tenkula, former lead guitarist and main songwriter of the acclaimed Finnish band SENTENCED, passed away earlier today (Thursday, February 19) at the age of 35.
But the official cause of Miika's death has not yet been released.
This is a moment of speechless, it's a great loss..
RIP."
Sentenced were my favourite band of all time, and Miika produced some of the most memorable guitar tunes I'll ever know. My condolences go out to the friends and family of Miika. He will forever be within my heart. Rest in peace!

To stop rumours about Miika Tenkula's cause of death, his family wishes to state the following: Miika had a genetic heart condition and died from a sudden attack at his home on 18 February 2009.
For those wondering where Miika is buried: his grave can be found at the Kirkkosaari cemetery in his hometown Muhos, Finland.
